Gran Turismo 7 PS5, lowest PS4 user score of Exclusive PlayStation Story
Update: Gran Turismo 7 got the unfortunate reward for having the lowest Metacritic user score in Sony's exclusive story. The score of 2.2 - which is always down - the place below Cool Boarders 2001 on PS1. It is a strong message of the fans (and, presumably, some trolls) that Polyphony Digital has work to do.
ORIGINAL HISTORY: The reception of Gran Turismo 7 has been extremely positive until this week, but a series of direct errors has dropped the reputation of the simulation driver. Following a patch - which adjusted the fogging payments of the version game, then finally broke the game - the fans went on sites like Metacritic to review the title at the bomb.
At the time of writing this article, it controls a user score of 2.5 / 10, most of the most severe evaluations arrived in recent days. "If you are an occasional player like me, you are F **** D," wrote a person. "Microtransactions are present and some cars are impossible to buy without real money or without a foolproof work. You can not play game without internet connection!
Another said, "So the cars you can not afford in real life are not in this shit game! Do not buy Gran Turismo 7 and let them know what they will lose! This is a reference to the recent statement of the Kazunori Yamauchi series, in which he stated that he wanted the price of cars in the game reflects their "value and their rarity" in real life.
In a controversial statement, Yamauchi explained: "In Gran Turismo 7, I would like users to benefit from many cars and shopping, even without microtransactions. At the same time, the price of cars is an important element that reflects their value and rarity, so I think it is important that it is linked to the actual world prices. I want to make Gran Turismo 7 a game in which you can enjoy a variety of cars in different ways, and if possible, I would like to try to avoid a situation where a player has to mechanically continue to replay some events again and again.
A patch this week halved the payment of popular "agricultural" spots, potentially pushing players to controversial microtransactions to recharge their motto. Gran Turismo 7 allows you to pay real cash cuts, which you can then use to buy virtual vehicles.
It seems that Polyphony Digital has planned to rebalance the game economy by adding additional events and content, but it is obvious that it can not describe the entire roadmap for the moment: "We will inform you. In a timely manner, update plans for additional content, additional events and additional features that will resolve this problem constructively. It hurts me not to be able to explain the details about it for the moment, but we plan to continue to revise Gran Turismo 7 so that the most players can enjoy the game. We would really appreciate that everyone can watch the Growth of Gran Turismo 7 from a point of view a little longer term.
Of course, the situation has not been helped by the published patch to revise the title economy ended up breaking the entire game, putting offline servers for more than 24 hours. Polyphony Digital then did a bad job to communicate what was going on, and as the title requires an internet connection even for solo content, it made the runner to 70 £ / 70 $ widely unplayable.
It is now the developer based in Tokyo to restore good will. It's been a long time now, but Gran Turismo 7 has been welcomed when leaving about two weeks ago, and returns have been unanimously positive since. We think that Polyphony Digital will eventually be good, but this week has been a hard lesson for the legendary team.
