The new Non Man’s Sky expedition includes Roguelike systems and is now available
With the trailer you have up here, Hello Games has presented Leviathan , a new expedition of No Man’s Sky that is available from today. As already happened with Sentinels, they have shared new details through the PlayStation blog. The expeditions of the game function as temporary events of the GAAS, and includes new playable systems in each of them, in this case with loops that bring the experience closer to that of a roguelike.
As explained, during this expedition we will lose our progress every time we die, with a narrative turn that explains this experience through a mysterious temporal loop in which we will be trapped that will force the community to work collaboratively to stop it. The main clue that we will have is that this anomaly has a connection with the Leviathan that gives its name to the expedition, a "great and imposing space creature surrounded by myths and mysteries" (a flying whale) that will constantly fly over our environment. In the statement, Sean Murray explains that he likes to reward his expeditions with generous rewards, which in this case will include "the WHALKER CAPA, an organic minifragata for your base and a trace of the temporary ship." Those are just some examples, although they have clarified that the final reward will be a new frigate.
As indicated, Leviathan can be played only for PC in addition to consoles Xbox and PlayStation , and will be available for "approximately six weeks." Meanwhile, Hello Games team continues to work in the background in the Nintendo Switch version that will arrive this summer "together with some great update."
